It seems that no matter where you are or what you are doing there is always a lesson to be learned. That is as long as you are willing to keep an open mind and pay attention. For those of you who think you know it all, Congratulations!! You are leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of us.

Me? I’m still learning something new everyday. Sometimes it’s out of a book or from a video I watch online or from a story I read in some form of periodical.

Today, however, I learned something new from a kid who is more than half my age and probably didn’t even know he was teaching me something.  In this video I review an important lesson I learned today from a 17 yer old door to door salesman. I call him a salesman, even if he wouldn’t consider himself one. Pay close attention to this video and see what I really mean.

In this day and age it is almost impossible to maintain a decent standard of living on one paycheck, especially in a family where children are involved and it’s not always feasible for both dad and mom to have a job outside of the home. Daycare expenses, the need for a second car, and too much time away from the children are some of the common drawbacks.  This, however, is the exact situation that a Home Based Network Marketing Business works to its greatest advantage.

Network Marketing Businesses are great and can be extremely profitable if you know what you’re doing. I wrote this article to give the average person like you and I a practical guideline to getting started in a home based network marketing business the right way, and to save you from wasting your precious time and money.

My experience has shown me that there are basically 3 main pillars or principles of a solid home based Network Marketing business.

A home based Network Marketing business that has a high start up cost will take longer to see a profit, and as we said earlier, time is one of the things we are trying to cut down on. Minimal costs will also make the Network Marketing business more assessable to a larger amount of families or individuals who are just starting out, which will also make building your downline a lot easier.

Pillar #2: It must be easy to set up and maintain.

The more complicated your home business project, no matter what it is, the more likely you are going to give up out of sheer frustration before you see a profit. A business that is easy to set up and maintain will give you confidence and a sense of accomplishment as you complete each simple step in the process.

Let’s face it if you enjoyed wasting a lot of time and effort maintaining a home based business you would not be reading this article. This is about freeing you up to spend time with your family and doing the things you love to do, not creating another taskmaster to replace your job!

This is the beauty of a Network Marketing Business if you are first starting. They are typically set up and ready to go for you.
Most successful Network Marketing businesses are pretty much, plug and play. All you normally have to do is get the word out.

The main websites and products are usually ready to go as soon as you sign up.
That’s why I think that Network Marketing is the best way to get you feet wet in the world of internet marketing and home based businesses.

The first two pillars of a solid home based business are necessary for the third to occur.

Pillar #3: It must have a quick return on investment. (ROI)

You can spend months building a home based business, but if there is never any real profit generated in a reasonable amount of time, many people may get discouraged and give up. That’s the number one reason for failure in Network Marketing. Not so much the failing, but the quiting. More people quit their online businesses because it’s not generating enough profit quickly enough.

So what is a reasonable amount of time you ask? I would plan for a time frame on the order of a few months before you start to see a reasonable profit. I know that sounds like a long time, but some brick and mortar businesses take years to become profitable. Some people who have been at Network Marketing for awhile, depending on the type of  business they may be working with may have had a decent ROI within days. That’s not a typical scenario, but it can happen.

To get to the point where you can make a profit quicker, the business that you choose to start should definitely be something that interests you and possibly even something that you already have a measure of experience in doing. The shorter the learning curve the faster you will be profitable. If you are into fitness, pick a company in the fitness industry. If you’re into cooking you should be looking for a business that is in the cooking niche.
Believe me when I tell you, there is a business in absolutely every niche that you can work with.

Whatever Network Marketing business you get involved in make sure that it is propped up by the 3 pillars listed in this article. Do not make the mistake of over complicating your efforts or you will see very quickly that you will get bogged down with a lot of needlessly wasted time and effort, and don’t like that.

Personal mastery is about approaching life from a different perspective.  Sometimes people would refer to it as a journey towards continuous self improvement.  Personal  mastery is guided with key principles like vision, personal purpose, creative tension, commitment to truth and understanding the subconscious mind.

One of the most important fundamental aspects of personal mastery is personal vision.  Personal mastery when combined with personal vision can create a framework or a guiding philosophy on how you can operate and live your life.  Some people would say that personal vision serves as a guide that would keep you on track.

It is also important for a person who is in quest for personal mastery to develop integrity, humility, justice and industry.  Actually, these are rules on how we should conduct ourselves professionally, socially and spiritually.

Peter Senge said that attaining personal mastery has no shortcuts or no quick fixes.  Sometimes it would take a lifetime for personal mastery to be attained.  Personal mastery detaches a person from self-interests or selfishness and encourages people towards providing care and service to other people.  Also individuals who follow personal mastery see the connections in their surroundings and perceived everything as a whole.

Proactive behavior is also something that personal mastery helps you to develop.  Reactive behavior like thinking beforehand  that you cannot do things is dealt with when developing personal mastery.  Actions and service that you provide are based on how you can creatively maximize your skills.

To summarize it, personal mastery guides you to develop and become more aware of your beliefs, attitudes and behavioral impacts.  It also enables you to accept yourself and be responsible for your own actions, attitude, and thoughts.

Experts would say that personal mastery could be truly gained by living purposefully and by living with integrity.  Living purposefully would include showing talents, gifts and strengths to achieve goals and be successful.  Living with integrity is by integrating your ideals, standards and behavior.

A confused mind always says “NO!!”

This means that if your life is full of clutter, your brain is probably overwhelmed and confused (even at a level you may not realize) and it sees all the things you need to do and is constantly saying,
‘NO!’ – slowing you down BIG TIME!

On a regular basis, clean your work environment, and clear out the junk in your life you no longer need or
use – give it away. This includes books, magazines, DVD’s, clothes, stuff in your garage, junk under your
bed, and so on. Let it all go.

In addition, keep your cyber-life de-cluttered as well by clearing out old emails and rarely visited
bookmarks occasionally.

Schedule a time once a month to de-clutter and you’ll find your brain saying, ‘YES!’ a lot more often.

Starting, building and running your very own business is a fantastic and challenging experience, to say the least.  You can wake up in the morning exhilarated and ready to begin your day and go to bed at night feeling completely overwhelmed, frustrated and exhausted. The emotional roller coaster can and will, in many cases, drain you of any motivation and personal pleasure that you got when you first started your business. You first started your business to make a little extra money, be free of a J-O-B and get a little free time. So far, in many cases, you are 0 for 3. Bummer. But don’t give up yet. That’s not how this is supposed to be. You can make it work out and you can be a successful and profitable business owner.The key to success is to maintain a positive, yes you can do it, mindset.

Easier said than done, right?  Here are 5 simple keys to help you create and sustain a positive mindset so you attain the success you desire and deserve.

1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people. The influence people have over our own personal energy is amazing.  Moods and attitudes are so easily spread that it is extremely important to make sure you are not in the presence of negativity. Think about how much of a difference a simple smile from a stranger can make in your day and then magnify it 1000 times to demonstrate the power of positive and successful friends, family and associates.  When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want you to succeed, there is no room for doubts and even when they creep up, they’re quickly swept away and dismissed.   This is an extremely important factor to success. The more people you surround yourself with that are supportive and inspirational, the more success and inspiration they will bring your life.

2. Create a mantra or an affirmation.  Repeating positive affirmations has been shown to get people through tough times and to actually help them truly believe what they’re saying. An affirmation, simply put, is a phrase or sentence that you can repeat to your self that creates a positive emotion in you immediately.

For example, “I am building a powerful and profitable business, and I am wealthy beyond my wildest dreams”.   Many of the most esteemed business professionals have used the same affirmation strategies to attain their success.  The fact is, that the more you present these positive thoughts to yourself, the more you will start to believe them. To find the right affirmations for you, consider writing a quick list of your doubts, insecurities and complaints.  These can then be quickly turned into affirmations.

For example, if you write that you’re always feeling disorganized then your affirmation would be, “I am organized and in control”.  Repeat your affirmations several times a day and feel the power of positive thinking.  Here is an example of an affirmation I use that I picked up several years ago.  “I am strong, powerful, loving, happy, healthy, and wealthy beyond my wildest dreams” You can try using that one until you have come up with your own, but I strongly suggest coming up with your own that suits your present conditions.
3. Capture negative thoughts.  This is the one that has really made the biggest difference in my life. We all have negative thoughts from time to time, however, negative thoughts and emotions can derail us and prevent us from achieving all we desire and deserve.  Of course catching those negative thoughts takes practice and persistence.  When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, find a trigger to turn them around.  The affirmations mentioned above are a great way to turn the negative into the positive.  You can also find quick pick me ups like a favorite song, a walk outside in the fresh air, or some exercise to help improve your mood.  The more you practice this the easier it gets, I promise. The more you catch yourself thinking negatively, the easier it is to turn it around.  Eventually your brains starts to tune them out automatically. Some religions consider this to become enlightened.
Practice makes perfect on this one for sure. Start capturing your negative thoughts right away. Anytime you feel like you are about to talk negatively about yourself or some one else, immediately start to think about something else. This will alleviate a lot of anxiety as time goes by. This is a very important thing to consider if you want to become as successful as you claim you want to be. No one said it was going to be easy.

4. Set goals/intentions and then be willing to let it go.  The law of attraction says that we attract what we focus on the most.  However, desperation, needing your business to be a success, sends mixed messages and a lot of negativity into the universe.  Set your goals and intentions and then let them go.  A certain amount of faith in yourself and in the power of attraction is necessary.  Like the old saying goes ” If you love something set it free. If it loves you it will find it’s way back to you”  I know that sounds cheesy, but that it very true with dreams and golas.  Your job is to think of them and set them free.  If it is truly meant to be, it will come back to you ten fold and so will the great opportunities that come with it.  You just gotta have faith. Give it a try.

5. Be grateful.  Gratitude is perhaps the single most powerful and positive tool for success.  When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life the challenges you face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with.  The more you concentrate on the great things you have, the more great things you will have. The more you concentrate on things you do not have, the more things in life you will lack.  Sounds counter intuitive but it’s true. Only focus on the things you want and have and stop focusing on the things you don’t want and don’t have.  Be grateful for what you have and you will have more.  This couldn’t be more true.

Consider keeping a gratitude journal and make a practice of entering into it daily.  That way, when you’re facing challenges a quick peek at all the amazing things in your life will make you feel as if you can tackle anything.   Additionally, an attitude of gratitude helps you maintain a positive perspective and to face challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles.

Success is within your reach and with the right attitude you can accomplish anything you set your sights on.  Embrace these five powerful mind success strategies and you’ll build a better business and live a happier, more satisfying life. Remember, none of these will happen over night, it will take time and practice. But then again, what great things in life don’t?

In my personal quest to become as successful as I can be in all things that I do, I have researched the personality traits that  successful people have as opposed to the traits that are missing from those who don’t have the intentions of creating a greater life for themselves. The truth is that there aren’t a whole lot of differences between the two types of personalities.

Some people just have a little more drive than others and have made some minor adjustments to their day to day lifestyles and mentality.  Below is a list of some of those differences.

Successful People…

1. Are willing to try out new things, knowing that if it doesn’t work out as intended, failure is often cleverly disguised as a learning opportunity.

2. Believe and trust themselves first and foremost. They don’t have to check with others to make decisions, they instinctively know what is right for them and they go for it!

3. Have a well-developed life strategy that includes a written life vision/mission, purpose, and goals statement.

4. Get things done, through whatever organizational/time management system that works for them. They make the most of each day and take action on important life tasks each and everyday.

5. Are able to discern (see clearly) other’s reasons and motives, so they selectively choose who and what to align themselves with. They surround themselves with only the highest quality people, programs, and places.

6. Tap into the collective brainpower of others by reading books, magazines, and articles—anything that is helpful for their own development.

7. Value the process of learning for learning’s sake. They do not just learn for a specific end—to get a certificate, degree, title, etc. They learn because it is fundamentally rewarding for them.

8. Are the teachers of the world, who share their knowledge with other people. They put themselves out there so the rest of us can benefit, and in exchange, their own learning grows and develops.

9. Do not like to stay the same, they love to grow and develop. To stay ahead of the game, they often reinvent themselves time and time again.

10. Not only know about specific subjects and topics, but also about what it means to be a human being at this time in our evolution. They are insatiably curious and want to know more about becoming bigger and brighter, as a result they naturally evolve.

As you can see, the adjustments in your thought patterns that have to be made  or tweaked are slight but extremely powerful.  By taking some time everyday to slowly adjust your thought patterns and you habits and attempt to learn something new,  you will  be on your new path to being as successful as you want to be.

When we’re looking for ways to become  successful people, we tend to find the quickest route and miss the most important pieces of the puzzle. To be successful, we need to look from the inside out and figure out what we are made of before we start to think about what we can become.  Achieving your goals and dreams is a matter of focusing on the things that are important and remove yourself from environments that hold you back.  Below you will find a few basic guidelines that will get you moving in the right direction.

Success – Is As Easy As ABC

A – Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places.
B – Believe in your self, and in what you can do.
C – Consider things on every angle and aspect. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.
D – Don’t give up and don’t give in.
E – Enjoy. Motivation takes place when people are happy.
F – Family and Friends — Don’t loose sight of them.
G – Give more than what is enough.
H – Hang on to your dreams. They may sway for a second, but these will be your driving force.
I – Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don’t let other people get the best of you.
J – Just be you. The key to failure is to try to please everyone.
K – Keep trying no matter how hard life may seem.
L – Learn to love your self.
M – Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.
N – Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.
O – Open your eyes.
P – Practice makes perfect.
Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate – are you going to be a quitter or a winner?
R – Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation.
S – Stop procrastinating.
T – Take control of your life. Discipline and self-control are synonymous with drive.
U – Understand others. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.
V – Visualize it.
W – Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing.
X – X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on “extras” on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.
Y – You are unique. Value your life and existence.
Z – Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!!

Remember what Einstein said, ” Nothing happens until something moves.”  Now get out there and move something, do something, or at least try something.

Print this list out and hang it on your frig or somewhere you will see it everyday and practice our ABC’s everyday.
